Dr Who star Peter Capaldi has been Time Lording it up at a stately home during filming of the long-awaited new series.
The Scots actor was mobbed by fans and persuaded to try on some distinctive eyewear during a break in filming at Kings Weston House in Bristol.
Capaldi, who plays the 12th incarnation of the Time Lord, was joined by his new companion Bill, played by Pearl Mackie and was seen battling a cyborg during one shoot.
With the new series due to begin in the new year, the presence of artificial snow suggested that this could even be the Christmas Day special.
